A solid foundation.

Torema Australia Pty Ltd was founded in 1989 for the purpose of manufacturing toroidal isolation transformers.  Today, Torema continues to manufacturer toroidal based products but has also expanded in to new and exciting manufactured product areas.  Torema started its own offshore manufacturing facility in 2008, dedicated to the continuation of toroidal transformer manufacturing.  The factory expanded quickly and moved into all types of transformer manufacture adding conventional, isolation, current and distribution transformers to its range.

With growth came new opportunities for the company. Many of our existing and long standing clients wanted a complete solution for their products. Torema was that channel of opportunity they were looking for and expanded in to sub-assemblies and complete products incorporating many areas of manufacture and engineering: sheet metal, extruded parts, wiring, plastics, finishing and sub-assemblies to name but a few.Torema Engineering is a natural step forwards for the company. We are now more than a transformer manufacturer; we connect all of the pieces together to create a solution and product for our clients.

Torema Engineering extends first class mechanical engineering abilities to all of the products we build. Combined with over 23 years' experience in the design and manufacture of toroidal transformer products it has helped us retain long standing and strong relationships with domestic and multinational clients.

From its 2,600 square metres' facility just north of Brisbane and its solely owned factory in Foshan, China , Torema Engineering provides comprehensive service from the design phase of a project through to delivery of one off or large volume orders. Torema Engineering has longstanding active relationships with many testing authorities in both Australia and China. We can advise what standards need to be met for your product, show you who to talk to or complete the standards procedure on your behalf. This ensures that all products manufactured by Torema Engineering comply with current electrical safety standards for a variety of applications.

Our head office is based on the north side of Brisbane. Sales and warehousing are based here but we also retain a dedicated workshop for testing and prototype development. At this site we have superior engineering and manufacturing technology which include:

1 CNC machining centre  2 CNC turning centres

2 CNC milling machines   2 CNC EDM wire cutting machines.

These machining centres enable Torema Engineering to manufacture hundreds of different parts for its customers. A perfect start to prototyping your product.
